Paper Bird is Perth's newest independent children's bookshop and art supplier.  The bookshop is the entrance to a huge story house full of exciting spaces for workshops, book clubs and events.  We will be holding writing, animation, illustration and story telling workshops for all ages, including adults who are interested in writing or illustrating children's books.  

In residence at Paper Bird are Samantha Hughes, Illustrator; Liliana Stafford, writer and artist; Renae Gibson, writer of children and young adult fiction.  Animators, writers, illustrators, musicians and story tellers will be flowing through the story house creating a lively vibe. 

We support local writers, illustrators and story tellers.

General

Every attempt will be made to process and ship your order on the same day as received (if a business day). At the very latest, it will be shipped the following business day.

We use Australia Post to send parcels and choose to pass on our discounted standard delivery rates to you.  Express Post and International post is not discounted but we just pass on the exact costs to you.

Giftwrapping

We offer giftwrapping, free of charge, all year-round.  If you are purchasing items via our website to send to someone and need them gift wrapped, just let us know in the notes section of the cart before you checkout.

 

Returns - instore & online purchases

We do accept returns for exchange to a different item or credit voucher up to 14 days after you have purchased it either instore or online, subject to the following conditions: (Please choose carefully, as we do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make the wrong selection).

  1. Returned items must be accompanied by proof of purchase (eg. a receipted Tax Invoice, or order confirmation email),
  2. Returned items must be in a saleable condition,
  3. Defective books will be replaced with the SAME title,
  4. The item was in stock at the time of purchase and not ordered in for you (ie. a special order),
  5. Shipping charges are not refundable (unless the item shipped was wrong/defective),
  6. We do not pay for postage on returns,
  7. Books with CD-ROMS or disks CANNOT be returned once the seals on these items have been broken,
  8. We do not offer cash refunds (unless the goods are defective). Instead, all exchange items will be replaced with credit/gift voucher.

Delivery Policy

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation from eWAY containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. We will attempt to send your goods via Australia Post within one to two (1 - 2) business days; however if goods are unavailable delivery will take a little longer.

Refund & Returns Policy

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will give you a 14 day money-back guarantee from the time you receive the goods. Please email us at hello@paperbird.com.au within that time if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems.

This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered post and that you pre pay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit; therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. Paper Bird will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.
