Kathryn Lefroy
Author
Kathryn writes novels, screenplays, and articles about technology. She’s from a long line of literary folk—both her parents are authors, and her great-great-great uncle was Jane Austen’s inspiration for Mr. Darcy.
Her debut middle grade novel, Alex and the Alpacas Save the World, was shortlisted for the 2019 West Australian Premier’s Award and West Australian Young Readers Book Award. She’s currently working on the sequel.
She also writes about technology and marketing for some of the world’s biggest tech companies, and spent many years living and working in Silicon Valley. She has a PhD in marketing, years of teaching and public speaking experience, and an eclectic background working across academia, costume design, technology journalism, and business strategy.
Kathryn offers tailored workshops for ages 8+, which can include novel or screenwriting activities, plot and/or character development tools, structure and planning tips, advice on becoming a professional storyteller—and much more!
