Dianne is author of 19 award-winning books with two more on the way. Her latest titles are The Dog with Seven Names and In the Lamplight. Partner books Lighthouse Girl and Light Horse Boy were adapted for stage and gave inspiration for Perth Festival street theatre The Giants.
Dianne writes across genres. Her fantasy novel The Shark Caller explores the ancient practice of calling sharks and is optioned for film. Nanna’s Button Tin, a gentle story about searching for a special button has sold into the US while The Dog with Seven Names is soon to be published in Chinese.
Dianne has a teaching background. She’s an experienced presenter who loves meeting readers of all ages. Although Dianne lives in Albany, she visits schools and libraries across Australia and internationally. She’s a proud Room to Read Ambassador and serves as remote regions Coordinator for SCBWI West.
